Opel will introduce a new Corsa in December this year, writes Trish Whelan.
The close-to-production fifth generation Corsa will feature the company's most efficient engines, six speed transmission, refined steering and a newly developed chassis.
Since its launch in 1982, the Corsa has been one of the leading cars in the small car or B segment as it is known.
Some 12.3 million Corsas have been sold worldwide. Since 2007, over 16,000 have been sold in Ireland.
The new car will feature Opel's new 115hp 1.0 three-cylinder turbo engine with both Sport and Comfort chassis.
The new Corsa will make its global debut at the Paris Motor Show in October. More information will be released in early July.
