All Citroen vans now have standard ESC

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is now standard specification on all Citroën Nemo, Berlingo and Dispatch LCVs produced from 1 July 2014.

With the recent launch of the New Relay, the entire Citroën LCV range now has ESC as standard. In addition to fitting ESC, Nemo, Berlingo and Dispatch LCVs produced from 1 July also benefit from further specification improvements.

ESC uses steering angle data and other information from the vehicle to detect if the vehicle is about to travel in a different direction to that indicated by the steering wheel position. ESC then automatically reduces engine power and brakes the appropriate wheel to help the driver maintain control.

The move means the price of Nemo and Berlingo vans has been increased by €80 plus VAT.

All Berlingo vans, crew vans and platform cabs will also be fitted with Hill Start Assist, and in specification changes the Dispatch HDi 90 manual L1H1 1000 Panel Van moves from 15-inch wheels and rear drum brakes, to 16-inch wheels and rear disc brakes. In addition, cruise control with driver programmable speed limiter becomes standard on all Dispatch panel vans, crew vans and platform cabs.
