The eight models in the Mini brand lineup will be trimmed to five, according to brand director Peter Schwarzenbauer, writes Brian Byrne.
But the company will bring out an electric car soon, which could be based on the Mini Superleggera concept (above) shown at the recent Paris Motor Show, and which received a lot of appreciative attention.
There are no details of which models will go, but there has been speculation that that Paceman and the quirky Coupe might not be renewed when their current generation period ends.
Speaking in Munich, Schwarzenbauer said 'superhero' core models, including the hatch, Countryman, and Clubman, will be the focus of future sales.
