Guy Foster from Navan followed his individual victory in the Ken Wharton Memorial Autotest in Warwickshire last month by taking his first win in a Hewison Championship round yesterday. Foster beat multiple Irish and Northern Ireland title holder Steven Ferguson by five seconds in the Westmeath club's event at Tullamore.
Ten times champion Eamonn Byrne was in a class of his own until he failed the opening test of the last lap, with the resultant 20 seconds penalty dropping him to seventh place at the end.
