Renault adds Signature trim to Captur range

Renault has introduced a new top-of-the-range Signature trim level to its Captur compact crossover adding numerous extras to the Intense version including some exclusive ones, as standard.

Buyers can choose from petrol or diesel Stop & Start engines. Petrols are a 0.9 TCe 90 mated to a five-speed manual transmission, while the 1.5 diesel dCi 90 is offered as both a manual and an automatic.The Energy dCi 90 version has C02 emissions as low as 98g/km and a fuel economy for the combined cycle of 3.8 L/100kms.

Features include 17-inch Explore alloy wheels with black inserts and chrome exterior details on the side strips, boot lid, front grille and fog lights. A two-tone exterior finish is standard but an optional Flame Red metallic paint with black roof is available. There is also a choice of three other metallic and two solid colours.

Inside, this higher specced version comes with part-leather upholstery, special door sill plates and mats and the Red Touch Pack.

Technology-wise, the Signature trim is a step up from the Intense MediaNav trim. The R-Link infotainment system includes a 7-inch touchscreen satellite navigation, USB connectivity. There's also a rear parking camera and Grip Xtend traction control system for maximum grip on the road in difficult driving conditions. Features carried over include cruise control, automatic climate control Bluetooth connectivity and LED daytime running lights.

Order books have now opened with prices for Captur Signature from €22,190-€25,490. It is available from €219 per month through Renault Finance. Over 1,100 units of the Captur (from €19,590) have been sold here this year. All come with a 5-year warranty as standard.
