It will be offered in hatchback and SW (station wagon) body styles, and have assertive new styling, 'outstanding' petrol and diesel performance-orientated engines and bespoke chassis modifications.
The car keeps all the exterior and interior style designs of the 308 which was voted European Car of the Year 2014, but with a few distinctive changes.
Ride height has been lowered by 7mm at the front and 10mm at the rear for a sportier drive.
The revised suspension is mated to a choice of high-performance engines, one petrol and one diesel that meet Euro 6 emissions standards. The petrol is a 1.6 THP 205bhp Stop & Start with a six-speed manual gearbox. C02 emissions are from 130g/km C02 and 50.4mpg for the hatchback and 134g/km C02 and 48.7mpg for the SW.
