Audi Ireland is continuing its support for German Connects:) in 2015. This is an initiative led by the German Embassy and Goethe-Institut Irland which promotes the German language at primary, secondary and third level in Ireland, writes Trish Whelan.
As part of this partnership, Audi Ireland will provide the programme with an Audi A3 Sportback known as the 'Deutschmobil' to travel to GermanConnects:) events in schools and universities around the country.
German is the second most popular language taught in Irish secondary schools and is spoken by 120 million worldwide. This campaign aims to showcase the importance of German as a language for business and science.
Since Audi began supporting the programme in October 2013, over 2,000 secondary and third level students as well as 35 language teachers around Ireland, have participate din the programme.
