Michael (94) buys a SEAT Mii

One of the most loyal customers of midlands dealer Colton Motors has become the oldest SEAT customer in Ireland, writes Trish Whelan.

Michael Kearns (aged 94) recently purchased an all new SEAT Mii from the dealership.

A retired postman, Michael purchased his first car, a Morris 1,000 in 1962 from Albert Roberts, a local car dealership in Tullamore. Mr Kearns has in total bought four cars fro Colton Motors having also driven several company cars during his working life or 'bosses cars' as he puts it.

Michael says one of the reasons he choose the Mii is the fact that it has five doors which is very important as a couple of his neighbours rely on him for lifts to Mass every weekend and the five-door is very convenient for this.

Keith Colton, dealer principal at Colton Motors said they are absolutely thrilled to have Mr Kearns as one of their most loyal customers. "He is a real example to others and his level of independence is very admirable."

Niall Philips, Director at SEAT Ireland adds "Mr Kearns' story is truly remarkable and we would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to him. It's a very uplifting story."

Prices for the SEAT Mii begin at €10,145.
