Volkswagen, official car supplier to the IRFU, has handed over a new fleet of Volkswagen vehicles to the IRFU as part of their sponsorship, writes Trish Whelan.
The sponsorship, in place since 2011, entitles VW to an official IRFU partner designation, advertising at matches and in match programmes, and the support of a range of IRFU players.
The fleet of 60, 2015 cars handed over to the IRFU will include a range of VW vehicles including the new eight-generation VW Passat which has just gone on sale with a new design, new engines and a host of new technologies.
The six figure sponsorship represents a major marketing investment for Volkswagen who recently announced a new sponsorship of the Ray D'Arcy show on RTE radio 1.
