Makeover for Zafira

Opel has tidied up its Zafira for 2017 with detail exterior and interior changes, writes Brian Byrne.

While most of the attention at the Paris Show was on the Ampera-e and the Mokka X, the refreshed 7-seat MPV was shown with a new front end based on the style of the new generation Astra. New daylight running lights are part of the change.

Inside there's new instrumentation and a reduction in switches and knobs. The previous high-mounted infotainment screen has been replaced by a touchscreen lower down on the centre stack. There's a new steering wheel too.

IntelliLink smartphone connectivity is compliant with both Apple and Android systems, and Opel Onstar is also available.

Amongst the engine options is a 200hp turbocharged 1.6 petrol with 8.5s sprint capability.
