This is the Jaguar I-Pace Concept, a sporty mid-size SUV which the company plans to launch in 2018, writes Brian Byrne. And it's electrically-powered.
The I-Pace will be publicly debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show this week, the location a key one for emissions-free vehicles in the stringent 'green' auto environment of California.
Jaguar see the car as an answer to newcomer carmakers like Tesla, as well as to the planned EV models from traditional premium makers like BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi.
With the equivalent of 400hp from its dual electric motors, the high-torque I-Pace will have supercar acceleration of around four seconds to 100km/h.
It will be a full 5-seater, and with an electric motor on each axle will have full AWD capability.
