Mercedes-Benz is teasing a new design language with this picture, which suggests elements for the next generation A-Class, writes Brian Byrne.
The picture is of a sculpture called 'Aesthetics A', and moves the brand style from the creases and edges which defined the A-Class launched in 2012 to a new 'sensual purity' design.
The designers employ sweeping surfaces at angles to each other to contour the body design with light and shadow and to emphasise the proportions.
We'll see a concept version in due course.
