Octavia is Skoda’s top performing model in the Irish market and has been in the top four Irish selling car models for the past two years running.

Cathal Kealy, PR Manager at Skoda Ireland says the Octavia ‘has always been the heart and soul of Skoda in Ireland, and embodies all the brand’s strengths such as interior space, practicality, design quality, simply clever features and value for money and this new Octavia is no different’.

Changes include a new front-end radiator grille, and wider air inlets with a honeycomb structure in the redesigned bumper for a more dynamic look. It will keep the same trims of Active, Ambition and Style with the Ambition model gaining new LED taillights, electric folding mirrors and a new reversing camera now as standard. The top Style trimline will get a new front grill and chrome detailing in addition to the 9.2-inch Columbus Navigation & Infotainment system.

The car’s many connectivity features include Smartlink+. This smartphone integration system containing Apple Car Play and Google Android Auto is now available as standard from the Ambition trimline; and Skoda Connect Mobile Online Services which allow you real time route planning, real time parking and petrol prices in the locality along with weather and customisable points of interest.

A second and optional Connect solution offers additional functionality like remote access to the car via the brand’s Connect Mobile App in addition to a number of additional driver assistance solutions like the Emergency Call function which will call the emergency services once an airbag is activated. Other features include Trailer Assist, the Predictive Pedestrian Protection system, Blind Spot Detect, Rear Traffic Alert, and Park Assist.

Almost 55,000 new Octavia models have been sold in Ireland since its introduction here in 1998.
