The new Audi A5 Cabriolet will arrive in Ireland later this month at a starting price of €60,730, writes Brian Byrne.
The car seats four and has a fully automatic soft-top. There will be two trim lines and standard features include xenon headlights, Audi drive select and partial leather seats.
A mix of structural materials make the car among the lightest but strongest in its class, Audi says, and additional body struts and reinforced sills enhance occupants’ safety. In a rollover situation, head and torso airbags and automatically extending aluminium profiles protect passengers.
Three engines will be available at launch — a 2.0 TFSI with 252hp, a 2.0 TDI with 190hp and a 3.0 TDI with 218hp – each of which offers up to 17 percent more power while consuming as much as 22 percent less fuel.
