The new Jeep Compass will be arriving in Ireland in the first quarter of next year, writes Brian Byrne.
The second generation of the nameplate shares its platform with the smaller Jeep Renegade and the Fiat 500X, and is a global car for Fiat Chrysler Auto with assembly in Mexico, Brazil and India.
Available engines will include a 1.4 turbo petrol, and 1.6 and 2.0 diesels.
The usual four Jeep grades of Sport, Latitude, Limited and Trailhawk will be available, depending on market. Irish specification and pricing will be revealed closer to launch.
The new Compass has achieved a 5-star rating in the ENCAP crash tests.
