The new SEAT Arona - the brand’s first Crossover model - has joined the Spanish car maker’s three flaghship models, Ateca, Leon and Ibiza in achieving a maximum five stars in Euro NCAP safety tests, writes Trish Whelan.
Euro NCAP safety tests have become much more demanding in recent months. The independent body puts vehicles that come onto the market through a number of tests, more and more rigorous each time.
The new Arona, manufactured in Barcelona on the new MQB A0 platform, goes further than the current standard expected by Euro NCAP offering hill hold control, automatic lights, multi-collision braking, tyre pressure monitoring, day lights as standard, adaptive cruise control, as well as rear traffic alert, blind spot detection, and park assist for both bay and parallel parking.
It is set to arrive at SEAT dealerships nationwide imminently priced from €17,995.
