The jury for the European Car of the Year 2018 award has officially announced the seven finalists selected from the list of 37 eligible cars, writes Trish Whelan.
The seven shortlisted cars are the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Audi A8, BMW 5 Series, Citroen C3 Aircross, Kia Stinger, SEAT Ibiza and Volvo XC40.
The cars were selected by a jury of 60 members from 23 European countries. All vehicles had to be launched during this year and be on sale in at least five European markets.
The winner will be announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018.
The winner of the Car of the Year 2017 was the Peugeot 3008 crossover (pictured below).
