The first production electric car from the Mercedes-Benz EQ division will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month, writes Brian Byrne.
The probably GLC-sized SUV is expected to have a range of around 480km.
The car will be competing for attention with a number of other electric models at Geneva, including the production version of Jaguar's I-Pace and Audi's e-tron.
In all, M-B says it will have at least ten EQ models available by 2022, including an entry EQA, shown in concept form (above) at Frankfurt last year.
