The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be in Ireland for the second -registration 182 sales period, writes Brian Byrne.
The new generation of the car will provide more head-room and leg-room front and rear and will be wider. The luggage capacity has also been increased.
A new dashboard design will incorporate the latest level of the M-B control and display system, the MBUX, which uses artificial intelligence to 'learn' the preferences of the user.
The new A-Class will have a range of new engines, including 1.4 and 2.0 petrols and a 1.5 diesel.
Safety systems will incorporate safety systems which include see-ahead camera and radar with up to 500 metres range plus many ‘active’ features now common in Mercedes-Benz models, including Lane Keeping, Adaptive Braking, and various Distance Control and Driver Assist systems.
The M-B compact cars series are credited with having reduced the average age of buyers by 13 years.
