The car will debut for Europe at the Paris Motor Show in September.
Kia says the car will be capable of up to 450kms range on a full charge, a figure calculated under the new real-world driving World Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) system.
Kia has sold around 65,000 units of its Niro hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions in Europe since the model was launched here in 2016.
