Mercedes-Benz has revealed details of the new GLE which will go on sale in its first markets in early 2019, writes Brian Byrne.
The latest version has more room inside and a third row of seats is available on request. The new body is claimed to set a new standard for aerodynamic performance in the SUV segment.
Technical advancements includes an active suspension system on a 48-volt basis, which is a world first. An Active Stop-and-Go Assist is another move forward, while a larger screen in conjunction with the MBUX can be operated with hand and arm movements.
A new range of engines will be announced in late autumn, and a plug-in hybrid is planned for later inclusion.
