The company's engineers plan that the next generation systems will 'learn' through virtual traffic situations which could replace millions of kilometres of real-road testing.
They are developing high-performance software for this purpose, which will allow 'training' systems continuously over days and weeks in any scenario selected. It will also speed up systems development.
The software will be used to teach assistance systems for the ID model family.
