The Toyota Proace City, Toyota’s latest offering in their LCV range, will arrive in Ireland for the second half of 2020 but will visit each local dealership in the Proace City Roadshow in March, writes Trish Whelan.
It competes in the Light Duty Van (LDV) segment.
Toyota claim it is built with the customer in mind, is practical, agile and flexible. It comes in a number of variants, allowing customers to choose their bespoke van to suit their needs and is available as a short or long wheelbase panel van. It comes with a choice of two or three seats in the front cabin.
Capacity is up to 3.7m3 on short wheelbase models and up to 4.3m3 on long wheelbase models. It can also accommodate two euro pallets in both lengths and asymmetric rear doors make loading simple. It has a towing capacity of 1,500kg and a payload of up to 1,000kg.
Toyota say, featuring a diesel powertrain with a choice of 75 DIN hp and 100 DIN hp, it combines low C02 with ‘outstanding’ fuel efficiency.
Standard features include a full metal bulkhead, driver and passenger airbags and sliding side door. On various grades, the van comes with reversing sensors, smart load indicator, air con and an upgraded infotainment system.
