Volkswagen has established an online exhibition exploring the future of electric vehicles, in Berlin, writes Brian Byrne. The exhibition will open physically whenever coronavirus restrictions allow.
The Start to Drive Electric exhibition offers insights into how electric cars work, and how they have developed. Questions on charging and range are discussed, and there';s a strong emphasis on sustainability and how required materials are sourced and processed.
Historical VW electric cars, such as the Elektro-Golf from 1976, are shown side by side with the latest from the company, the ID.3.
IONITY, the ultra-fast charging network across Europe with which VW is involved, is also explained. There are, too, areas about e-scooters and e-bikes.
