Two new vans from Maxus mark change of brand name


Two new vans launched in Ireland by the Harris Group mark the the change in name of LDV to Maxus, writes Trish Whelan.

The Maxus Deliver 9 is on an all-new platform which comes in two grades and is available to order for delivery in July at a starting price of €26,341 excluding VAT. It is available in three lengths from 5180mm to 5940mm and in three heights.

Power is from a 2.0 163hp diesel, and the van can be ordered in FWD or RWD configurations. There are crew-cab, chassis cab, and minibus variants.

The Irish distributor has also launched its latest electric van, the eDeliver 3. In two length options from 4555mm-5145mm, the vehicle is the first from the company that is only available as an electric van. There are two battery options, with a range rated at up to 240km. Prices start at €31,043 excluding VAT with the approval of a government electric vehicle grant.
