Volkswagen's replacement for the Caravelle people-carrier, the Multivan, will go on sale in Ireland in the spring of 2022, writes Brian Byrne.
At an indicative starting price of €55,835, the vehicle will be available with up to seven seats and in three grades. Power will be from a 215hp 1.4 plug-in hybrid petrol or a 2.0 diesel with 150hp.
The Multivan is longer and wider than the Caravelle, built on VW's Modular Transverse Matrix platform.
