Opel commits to all-electric from 2028

Opel will offer only electric cars from 2028, writes Brian Byrne. The brand will already have nine electrified models on offer this year, and all models will also be available in electrified versions by 2024.

The company has also announced the return of the iconic Manta nameplate, following feedback the brand received when presenting the Opel Manta GSe ElektroMOD.

Opel is also planning to re-enter the world's largest car market, China, as an entirely electric brand.
