The Irish launch of the new generation Skoda Fabia has been delayed until early next year, due to the global shortage of microprocessors, writes Brian Byrne.
Announcing the delay, Skoda brand director in Ireland John Donegan said the latest infotainment and safety systems which the new car will have are 'heavily dependent' on microchips.
He said that new offers on the brand's Scala, Kamiq and current Fabia models will be announced shortly.
