Ford has refreshed its Kuga crossover for 2024 with new exterior styling and enhanced interiors, writes Brian Byrne. There are also improvements to the plug-in hybrid powertrain, offering extended EV range.
A new front design gives the Kuga, in its third generation since 2019 and the best selling PHEV in Europe over three years, a sharper look and stronger presence on the road. Full LED headlights are standard, and there's a full-width LED light bar available as part of the optional Technology Pack.
The EV range is now rated at up to 69km from a full charge, and the car has a claimed class-leading towing capability of 2,100kg.
Inside, the latest wide-screen iteration of Ford's SYNC 4 infotainment system has 5G connectivity allowing access to cloud-based real-time navigation. Driver assistance technologies including enhanced Adaptive Cruise Control.
Kuga as a model was first launched in 2008.
