Renewing a partnership begun in 2017, mobility solutions company Easytrip is to continue helping to keep vital blood supplies on the move in Ireland, writes Brian Byrne. The voluntary Blood Bikes motorbikes and vans will not be charged for tolls around the country as they carry out their service.
The vehicles will also have free car wash at selected Maxol facilities, operated via their Easytrip tags.
Blood Bikes is a registered not-for-profit Irish charity who look after the timely delivery of blood and associated blood products, human donor breast milk, cancer medication treatments and other time-sensitive material to hospitals and medical centres across the country.
Depending totally on public donations and corporate sponsorship, the service is run free of charge for the medical bodies.
