Orders for the new generation Mazda CX-5 will begin in Ireland from October, with a starting price of €39,965, writes Brian Byrne. The car will be available for delivery in early 2026.
The third-generation model will feature a 2.5-litre petrol engine with mild hybrid technology. Producing 141hp, it accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in approximately 10.5 seconds.
Interior updates include a new centre console with improved storage and, on higher trims, a panoramic sunroof. Ambient lighting on the front door trims will be exclusive to the top-tier Homura grade.
The new CX-5 will be offered in both FWD and all-wheel-drive options.
