Nissan’s Micra is returning to Irish roads as a compact electric vehicle (EV) with a top range of 416kms and a start price of €25,995, writes Trish Whelan. This is the sixth generation of the iconic car which first hit Irish roads over 40 years ago.
Two battery options are a 40kWh with a range of up to 317kms, and a 54kWh battery with a 416km range. Both variants support DC fast-charging up to 80kW and 110kW respectively.
Three grades are offered; Engage (priced from €25,995), Advance (from €27,995) and Evolve grade only available with the 52kWh battery and priced from €32,995.
Prices include the SEAI grant of €3,500 but exclude delivery related charges.
The new Micra is due here in January 2026.
