The latest versions of the Opel Astra hatchback and tourer were unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show, writes Brian Byrne. The car will be available with petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric powertrains.
The car has a sharper look than its predecessor and includes styling and technical elements debuted on the latest Grandland, notably permanent lighting for the brand logo and model name. The Astra also gets the larger car's HD matrix lighting.
The Astra nameplate is in its sixth generation and has been produced since 1991. The car's predecessor was the Opel Kadett.
