Galaxy gets extra features
by Brian Byrne. Ford Ireland has added new features to the Ford Galaxy.
From this month, climate control will be standard on all Zetec models, while motorists who opt for the Ghia series will have dual climate control in both front and rear. These features will see the retail price on all models rise by just €70.
In addition, an LX Pack will allow buyers of the entry-level Galaxy to avail of front fog lamps and a parking distance sensor for €700, a saving of €400. The tonneau cover has been made standard feature across the range.
Sales of the Galaxy in Ireland have been increasing year on year. Total sales of 629 units in 2004 were a record for the model, and up 7 percent on the previous year, which itself was a 14 percent increase on 2002.
The 17-model-strong Galaxy range starts from €34,920 (excluding delivery and plates).
