by Trish Whelan. Chevrolet Ireland has introduced the new-generation Matiz and the Ssangyong Rodius to the Irish market.
The new Matiz comes with a choice of 800cc and 1-litre engines.
There's one level of specification and the price for each version is €10,995 and €11,595 -- the larger engine gives the car a 'Sport' designation.
The importer expects to sell up to 400 units next year.
The Rodius from Ssangyong is powered by the same 2.7-litre 165bhp diesel as is in the company's Rexton.
It starts at €34,995. There will be a commercial version at €26,495 + VAT.
