by Brian Byrne. Honda in Ireland is hoping to have the next-generation Civic launched here late December or early January.
A company spokesman said there 'won't be volume' available initially.
The new Civic is due for public debut at the September Frankfurt Show, and is expected to be very close to the 'concept' shown at Geneva last March (above).
Meanwhile, Honda in Ireland have no plans to 'eco-label' its cars here for consumers, as has been done in Britain in advance of a local regulation due to come into force in September.
Irish cars are obliged to provide CO2 emissions on showroom notices.
