Ford 'connects' with Fiesta, Focus

Ford of Ireland has launched limited edition versions of the Fiesta and Focus models under a ‘Connection’ label.

The cars are based on the LX and Zetec specification in both cases, and include €2,500 worth of extras on the Focs for €1,300.

In the case of the Focus these include a ‘key-free’ entry system and a voice control facility.

The Fiesta Connection comes with an MP3 socket, and voice-actuated Bluetooth phone control and audio. Voice-activated controls and Bluetooth technology means the driver can manage the audio, navigation, climate control (where fitted).

At €16,055, the Fiesta Connection retails at just €385 over the Fiesta Steel, on which it is based.

The KeyFree feature on the Focus Connection eliminates the need for fumbling for keys in handbags or pockets. As the driver approaches, the car unlocks the doors automatically. You even start the car without a key, just turn the ignition switch, nothing to insert, nothing to press – it's as easy as that.

The Focus Connection is priced from €22,055.
