A diesel hybrid powertrain planned for production in 2010 in Europe will be more environmentally friendly than bio-fuel cars.
That's the view of PSA Peugeot-Citroen, who are working on the system.
But PSA is also adding so-called 'flexfuel' versions of its key cars for Europe in the interim, recognising that powertrains of the medium term future will be a mixture of various technologies and using a variety of fuel sources.
