Chevrolet invented the SUV way back in 1935 and say they have now reinvented it with their all-new Captiva which arrives here end of June.
The range will include a 2.4 litre 136bhp petrol engine, a 2.0 litre 127bhp and a 150 bhp diesel - the first diesel engine to be introduced by Chevrolet Europe. Six trim levels will be offered.
The most popular engine choice is expected to be the all-new 2.0 litre common-rail diesel. Available with front wheel or on demand all wheel drive and a choice of five-speed manual or automatic transmissions and 5 or 7-seat options.
Prices will start below 34,000 euros; the actual price will be announced when the car goes on sale here on 28 June. TW
