The replacement for Ford's Fiesta is likely to be shown in concept form at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but it may not have the Fiesta name.
A strong debate within Ford at the moment on whether to keep or drop the nameplate which has been Ford's mainstay supermini segment will likely turn to let it go in favour of a less 'girly' name.
The debate particularly reflects the fact that the car will be a true global model for Ford, and will be sold in the US market where the Fiesta name is not known.
Possible replacements mooted include Isis, Genesis and Cuga ... which latter name has been registered by Ford. BB
