Renault in Ireland has just given details of the Clio Rip Curl, one of a number of launches planned between now and the end of the autumn which are designed to boost the appeal of its car range.
The Rip Curl will arrive in June with an 80hp petrol engine.
In September, the Scenic Conquest is due. This is a lifted up variant with a tough 'urban jungle' theme. Despite its appearance, though, it will not be an AWD car.
The new Twingo city car is also slated for a September launch. September should also mark the public debut of the next generation Laguna, though no date for Irish introduction has yet been agreed. There's a strong liklihood that the engines range for the new car will include a 110hp version of the 1.5 litre turbodiesel.
A range of vehicles under the eco2 branding, including bioethanol versions of the Megane, are not expected in Ireland until 2008. BB
