The National Roads Authority will reduce toll charges at the Dublin Port Tunnel on weekends and Bank Holidays starting this Saturday and Sunday July 21/22.
Tolls will be reduced by 50 percent from 6 euros to 3 euros at all times Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
Daily weekday numbers are averaging 14,000 vehicles per day; these include 8,000 HGVs and 600 buses, for which there is no charge, along with 5,000 cars and 400 vans.
On Saturday and Sunday the daily average number is approximately 6,000 vehicles.
The tunnel will continue to be closed during the overnight hours of 11pm-7am on Friday and Saturday nights as part of the standard weekly maintence schedule. BB.
