The car comes initially with a 70hp 1.2 petrol engine, in two levels of specification, R and S.
An 85hp 1.4 petrol version will be available in September and in December the 1.4 and 1.9 diesel variants are coming in.
A 3-door version, the Sport Coupe, will also be in Ireland before the end of the year. The company is also planning the introduction of a new four door saloon, the Exeo, next year, based on the Audi A4 platform.
