DAA not best cameras value

If you're going through Dublin Airport and are tempted to buy a camera, be sure you know your prices. It's not the cheapest place.

The example is a Canon G10, one of the high-end digital compacts, which in Dublin's Camera Centre is priced at €530, in Jessops of Lisburn, Newry or Belfast at €425. In the 'Duty Free' shop at Dublin Airport it is €599.

We mentioned this to one of the assistants and were told they'd 'say it' to management. We're not holding our breath; for almost all of last year, a previous model G9 was in the same showcase as the newer G10, priced even higher than the new one. Despite us telling them, virtually every time we went through the shop during that year.
