Two new electric bikes from Vectrix

Green Machines of Terenure are to début two new urban commute motorcycles at the Carole Nash Motorbike and Scooter show February 27th to 1st March.

Vectric VX2

The VX-2 and VX-1E now join the company’s flagship Vectrix VX-1 which has been available for two years. The importer says both new models broaden the accessibility of the general public to 'a realistic and viable alternative' to petrol driven vehicles.

The VX-2 is the new entry-level platform Vectrix which is a compact electric equivalent of a 50cc internal combustion engine bike. It has a range of up to 50 miles (80km) and uses a 48V/20A battery charger that plugs into a standard home socket to recharge the vehicle in about 3.5-5 hours

The VX-1E uses the same platform and drive train as the original VX-1, but features a lower price point. It has slightly less acceleration and lower top speed.

Actual prices have not yet been announced.
