Electric van on demo

Modec Ireland has brought a demonstration Modec box van into Ireland.

Launched at the recent Electric Vehicle Conference hosted by Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) in Booterstown, Dublin, the Modec will be on show again at the upcoming SEI Energy Show to be held at the RDS, Dublin on 29th and 30th April.

The Modec is a 5.5 tonne Gross Vehicle Weight battery electric commercial vehicle with zero emissions and zero noise. It has a 160 kilometre range, a top speed of 80 kph and a 2 tonne payload.

Modec Ireland is a division of the OHM group, and they expect to commence the first deliveries of Modecs in Ireland later this year.
