The car, using the ST designation which SEAT reserves for its wagons, has been shown in sketch form for now.
SEAT President Erich Schmitt said recently that customers want attractive, top quality vehicles regardless of whether times are good or bad and that is why the company is launching ten new models this year.
The new Ibiza ST will include a selection of engines not currently offered in the Ibiza.
