The show will feature a celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the ‘Mini’ and for the launch a display of Mini cars was joined by Models in Mini dresses in keeping with the fashion of the 1960s, the heyday of this iconic British car.
This year’s show will feature two anniversaries, with the Mini’s 50th birthday celebrations being one of its centrepieces. This section of the show is been organised with the help of the Irish Mini Owners Club and will be the main celebration of Minis in Ireland this year. The other birthday celebration will be for the Ford Capri, which reaches 40 this year, and once again a large static display of cars will be topped off by parade laps.
