Halfords expanding again

Halfords has announced details of a new store opening in Swords, Co Dublin, which will increase the company's Irish portfolio to 23 stores.

The new Swords store, in the Airside retail park, will employ 18 people, which adds to the 368 number of Halfords Irish employees.

Bob Parker, Country Manager, says the Swords store reflects the growing success of Halfords in the Irish market. "We are fully committed to continuing our growth in Ireland and look forward to revealing plans of further development in the future.”

Halfords now sources car parts directly from original equipment manufacturers therefore ensuring that virtually every make of car is catered for.

Parker says the recent downturn in the economic climate has naturally created a major shift in Irish consumers’ car buying habits, therefore the need to maintain existing cars in good condition is more necessary than ever. The company offers a range of between 8,000-10,000 products depending on the size of the store.

Halfords provides a fitting service for the parts it sells, and all staff are fully trained in this area. For full information on products and services, the new website www.halfords.ie offers advice and product reviews to help customers.
