The Hybrid Tourer Concept has a 2.0 'boxer' type petrol engine and a brace of electric motors, one at the front, the other at the back.
In normal driving, the standard engine is used. At startup and low speeds, the rear electric motor does the driving, while the front one is used to provide extra power in situations like overtaking.
Both motors are powered by lithium-ion batteries.
